GPP (General Physical Preparedness)

5/11/2025

You find much more joy in activities when you’re physically prepared for them. You’ll find your mind focused on the joy the activity provides, rather than focusing on how uncomfortable you are during the activity.

Climbing, snowboarding, fighting, biking, hiking, swimming, walking...LIFE becomes more fun when you can take on any task at any moment and do it, knowing you’ve put the work in and have EARNED that joy.

We also should consider accountability and responsibility. Maybe... just maybe... a day comes where your physical preparedness could save someone else’s life, or maybe your own. You can also use the strong shoulders you’ve worked for and help carry a burden for someone else. You know how to persevere because you do it every time you decide to not cut a set 1 rep short even though you’re tired. Psychologically you become more confident because you know how to overcome stress when fatigued.

The carry over is real, but it's also why you are in the position you’re in.
